  • Thanks but I'm looking for what are the criteria that set out by THX. It used to publish their criteria for different certificates before. E.g frequency bandwidth in volume , head room allocation etc.

Yes I am aware of that.  I was deep into THX back in 90s. Spend lot on certified speakers and subs for my HT.

    Addendum
It's very hard to swallow , if they just certify the products without telling the consumers what are the criteria.

  • No matter what certification, how it sounded to you in your actual location it’s the most important specs………..everyone’s hearing and feel of acoustic is different. The most important is how easy can they get to sound is Best to the user…

  • Visited EconAV workshop at Eunos for demo of the Perlisten subs. Really eye opener.

A single D212s is able to deliver enough punch to make kk808 stack feel like only a pinch. It can also deliver clean lows that is comparable to a rythmik 15”. Typically a very good fusion (and replacement of) kk stack and Rythmik 15”.

I also had the chance to audit the D15s and D12s (and dual D12S).

D15s sounds very amazing and comparable to the D212s, moving enough air to shake my pants and heart-felt punch. If you have the space, this is a good sub to own.

A single D12s is good if you have a small room but because the workshop is fairly big, it can be a little underwhelming (I listened to dual d12s and d212s first). Dual D12s is definitely the way to go if you want balance in the bass in filling out the room (have have the space for 2 sub)

Words just can’t do these subs justice, you will have to be there to hear what these capable subs can do for your room.

  • Are there any online reviewers who measured the sub's capability?  Hope data bass will do so.
