That?s a tall order.

No headphone I know can really reproduce the soundstage of a pair of speakers.

There are some that get closer - like the Sennheiser HD800/800S but I?m not sure I like the sound signature.

If you like a wide depiction of sound beyond your ears, try the Meze Empyrean. Really sounds amazing with a Hugo 2

If you want speaker like soundstage you are going to need something like a Smyth Realizer A8/A16

I'd imagine the Headphone Amp plays a part as well in the acoustic sound staging, with features like cross-feed.

I cannot believe that Apple finally makes a good enough Noise Cancelling Headphones that can significantly beats the competition........but I have to admit, this is it.  There is absolutely no reason to get this, not being able to travel and all  but I am now glad that I did.

I got the Sony WH-X1000M3 and the Bose NC700 now and these are no fight to the Airpods Max.  The performance definitely justify the higher price.  Bad English, I recommend you get this.  Hey, it costs less than half your proposed budget.

So you wear Airpods, that means you deserved to die by a falling tree.  The person who made this conclusion must have been a insurance underwriter.  What we do next to avoid this?  We go fine the trees?

If it is up to me, I will implement 2-month bonus package for park ranger / supervisor for every year where there are no unexpected fallen tree incidents.  Guarantee all the weak trees will be taken care of.

I do like how the Apple AirPods Max sound as well. I find that getting the Lightning to 3.5mm Audio Cable and using the headphones with my AudioQuest Dragonfly Cobalt makes the sound even better (at least to my ears) and this is now my prefered way of using the headphones. I go wireless only when I am using lossy sources such as Youtube and Spotify.
