Have you ever consider converting your LPs to digital while you are listening ;D
Bloody Chowbotak does that to expend the life of LPs.

i don't have anyone to pass down the vinyl to and i don't think i'll live very long, no need to so take care, plus the music playing from my setup confirm not archival quality, maybe i should bring some of my record to CBT place test and rip in to digital, come back listen see got difference. hahaha...    ;D ;D ;D

  • I have vinyl rips in my NAS. The other day I saved some to a thumb drive and listened. Doesn't sound as good as when I played from NAS. Its a new thumb drive so must let it run in first?  ;D

    There possibilities
    1. Rip lousy
    2. DAC cheap
    3. Thumb-drive inferior

    Could be all.
    Time to change all ;D

Change AC, get a proper audiophile notebook,  and don't forget footers.
    Then can go ;D

  • It could be me ears or me setup. Some have reported that play from thumb drive sounds better. I have ripped some to cd sometime ago for the purpose of playing them in a fren's system but cant remember how I did that. I didnt play that cd in my system. It was given to my fren who seemed to love it
