it's should be alright when one isn't much updated when we're too engrossed in some field we had been living on... in addition that age is catching up with us, our focus would tend to fall on some fields of tech we're comfortable with.
it's just like majority of computing folks would, and i mean roughly 80% would be split into 2 camps, the red camp and the blue camp, forgetting that there would be other products in the market, would offer pragmatic computing experience. for example, large size tablets powered by Qualcomm CPU or IPADs with the Apple CPUs.

The day will come when TVs become too big to enter through doors and have to be craned in through windows like pianos, or manufacturers will have to employ flexible screens that roll up like carpets.😁

China had been producing 100" panels and employed thru various brands for the past 2yrs. production techniques is considerably matured today.
when more models are introduced to global market, there will be competition and options available, that drives the prices to fall. XiaoMI HK recently introduced a 100" into HK market with a specification close to what PRISM+ is. priced around HKD$19000 which after X-rate conversion, comes to SGD$3600... more budget friendly than PRISM+ maybe.

in local market, size and transportation challenge doesn't deter the sales of 100inch makes. from established HiSense to our local boy PRISM+. but they're certainly not moving fast if compared to smaller makes like 85" and 98".
new BTO flats main gate and door is designed to be wide for movement of wheel chair into apartment, hence a 100" display with narrow bezel can be moved into the apartment if in portrait position as well as removal of package before going into passenger lift. of course, the lift door height as well as whether the internal corner to corner diagonal length can accommodate the height of the display...
