So now if the price is ?799 and plus shipping ?60 will be  ?860. With GST will around ?950.  Estimate $1600 vs $3199 (no warranty vs 3yrs**)

UK price dropped, Australia price shouldn't be status quo either...

...the only major difference is that savings on the Australian set, have to go there while on vacation trip. while TPS is from touch of button comfortably at home.

Wow! Savings is enuf to buy a new one if anything happens to the original unit. Worth it.
yup... you can hoot 2 if you've enough monies to play around on one with AKM DAC while another with ESS DAC, from the 2 models i've screen capped.
2 sets add up, comes to what Anson offers... as middleman asking for coffee duit for giving the extended warranty that TPS gives.

for those looking for SACD compatibility...

...the price didn't drop much, just that you can choose between the old, vs the new mk2.

you need to look closely into the description of the thumbnail image, click in in the next step to verify.
EBK for the ex-AKM old stock.
EB1 for the replaced-ESS new stock.

need to highlight:
warranty voids when exported out of UK. or... should any repairs required, you'll have to bear the shipping charges on your own back to UK, and then back to SG.

btw... the "Made in Eastern Europe" marking might be changed, if production volume is affected by delays of parts delivery to Czech plant due to the War in Ukraine.

So our local shop got special warranty that covers out of UK?

i believe it's the same aftersales warranty as provided by TPS.
local seller just act as middleman, sells same package as TPS, do collect of any faulty set, send back to UK in "bulk" of probably 3 or more to save on shipping, for repair, then shipped back to SG... shipping charges absorbed.
per item sold, if nothing happens within 3yrs warranty period... or 2yrs, if seller wants to take advantage... seller earns coffee duit per "no problem" set sold.

that's how i see... and probably what i'll do if i have the capability to do so.

let me share my "True life story of Warranties"
i bought a Cyrus CD player from the only shop in Adelphi that sells Cyrus Products many years back...
it came with a official warranty.
well after about i month of usage, problems started "As in Skipping tracks on cd's"
so since it was still under warranty, i sent it back to the shop, n i also know the boss there.
he took it in and said it will be shipped back to UK for repairs.. i said ok n left...
then the long wait started.... to be exact if i recall correctly, it was 6 months, n my cyrus cd player was still in his shop(Didnt send out yet)
y? well i guess its like what bro ED said, must have enough sets to send back to uk, then the shop can save money on shipping..
;D ;D ;D
well, enough is enough i said.. i personally went down to C.A.S.E, to lodge a report, (Had to pay $30 for that report to be raised n issued to that shop)
so after the report was issued to the shop, the boss gave me a brand new in box Cyrus CD Player!!
So, do i still believe in "Warranties"
NO!!!!
hehehehe!!
anyway that was more than a decade ago, n i wont name the shop or the boss..
but after all that hassle, the boss asked me, why did i raise the report...
he should have known better, to just give me a brand new set in the first place!!
All cyrus products fit in the same alloy chassis..they only change the internals..
waiting for 6months was ridiculous...

scrimp and save is one of the way in tackling rising cost. especially to a middleman in any trade of any consumer goods.

one might think he pays a very high price for a premium marque Swiss Watch that he?ll get premium service having his timepiece sent to Switzerland for repair and send back. however one doesn't realize that his pricey piece, should any fault happens, will have 3 repair options to deal with reported issues during warranty period...

So Bro Gondon72A, if i were you, i would rather buy 2 sets of the Panny from TPS itself...
What Anson Audio is charging for 1set, u can get 2 sets with different Dac's!!
;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

for further clarification on the validity of TPS warranty upon export... its best if fellow brudders who had previously ordered the Pioneer LX500/800 from them can share a light here?

should Anson is reading this... a word of advice to u is, slash the price by $300. such that ur price comes close to $2.85K or so to compete with Reavon X200 offered by AVOne which had come to the price suggested.
your advantage is additional 1yr or 2(if TPS is willing to honor that warranty package) when compared to the X200. it doesn't means you're full winner though... as the UB9000 is crippled on SACD play capability.

anymore budget friendly find?
yup... there is, from Germany!

螢幕擷取畫面 (218).png

with shipping charge to SG, ?976, German tax removed.
so... base on current X-rates of SGD$1=?0.70 minus bankrate @ ?0.02=?0.68
we're looking at $1450 approx. with shipping to SG. add in GST, final number comes to $1566 approx.

@ SGD$150 savings vs TPS, what U dont get,
-multiregion capability with BD and DVD
-free HDMI cable of your choice
-free UHDBD of your choice
-lastly, no choice of AKM DAC variant.

from the same German E-tailer...
螢幕擷取畫面 (219).png
...if you're looking for a 4K player that comes with additional feature that may give "WOW" factor~~
above 2 comes with 500GB harddisks that let you record public broadcast with in-built DVB-T2 tuners.
price shown are in Export Price with German GST removed. delivery charges to SG applies @ ?70 for either models.

major differences?
螢幕擷取畫面 (220).png
UBC90 packs additional HDMI Audio-only output, and a dedicated coaxial digital output...
螢幕擷取畫面 (221).png
...where UBC70 appears as a "SIMPLE" recorder.

both models are region locked @ BD/DVD-B2
