Jippunkia also jumps into the "100inch pool"!!!

SHARP's first 100inch TV! it's just only... currently limited to mainland China market.
a look into the specs,
the absence of SHARP's image processing "engine", and not yet "clear" identity of backlight type, suggest that this 100inch product is highly possible a rebadge/OEM base on other maker product.

SHARP is not new breaking the 100" barrier. should u have rough idea, SHARP made a 8K 120" display that only supplies to business sector. and it is still selling in small limited numbers, due to slow demand over their exorbitant price.

however, when u look hard into the aesthetic design, it's not hard to notice "design language" that resonates to HiSense.

first ultra budget friendly 100incher from CES2024 confirmed for U.S. market.
if HiSense plans to bring this into SG, the price will be very competitive when compared to PRISM+ 100" model... as this model comes without miniLED backlight, and multichannel audio system.

With the increasing size of screens, the advantages of higher resolution become increasingly evident. This is especially true when considering the comfortable viewing distances and the pursuit of a high-quality, immersive viewing experience. Such factors provide a strong incentive for both manufacturers and consumers to adopt 8K technology, as it enhances these aspects dramatically.

using 85inch size as a reference...

...a growth in width by 35cm, height by 19cm, to upsize to 100inch is really, one hassle to challenge.
not to mention that ur 82" is a little smaller in size.

85" is good enough for me, taking into consideration of the viewing Angles/Distance

My motorized 120-inch projector screen, which rolls up into a nearly 3-meter long bar, was too large to fit in the elevator. As a result, during my move, the movers had to use the stairs. The cost was based on the total number of floors they traversed at both my old and new residences. From this experience, I infer that a 100-inch TV, with its packaging, might just barely fit in an elevator. Anything larger would likely require stair transportation. While this isn't an issue for new items with included delivery, relocating a TV that's too large for the elevator can be both difficult and expensive.

before u sign up on the purchase order, have a look into the transport guidance graphics below. yeah... i know, this is for 115inch... 100inch should be "less stringent".
to move a Display/TV of such size into an apartment is no easy matter siol~~~
cf07b11a56e6f068a1b69fc4bc05da0fe0e95a3c.png

on the left, is the requirement on the lift size, if buyer lives in an apartment.
in the middle, is the requirement of the stair space either moving up or down to maneuver to go up another floor or down to basement.
on the right, will be the window height if crane lifting service is engaged.

while the Chinese 100" had invaded homes in other parts of the world, Japan seems to be spared from the gigantic trend invasion?

nope... it's just that the only model available to Japan Domestic market doesn't slapped with "Chinese Badge" but rather...

...with the name that they're familiar with, TOSHIBA REGZA.
built of course, not by Japanese hands.

a surprise from the budget front line brands!
36984a15b2c5f3d399062fcf075bcac0a989ed54.png

close 100incher coming from AiWa!
currently there's no specific webpage to display the technical specification of this budget make... which could go much lower than $4000 to draw more attentions from PRISM+ buyers.
considering that AiWa badged Android/Google system TVs are made by ChangHong while their webOS TVs are made by Konka, from those clues, i come across 2 possible models that AiWa's upcoming WS-988s could be based on.
from ChangHong-
from Konka-

the possible aesthetic look on the model, if the local model is the same as what's selling in China.

the price of close~100inch entry level TV from Samsung announced!
USD$4000 launching into U.S. market.
locally as advertised in MEGADISCOUNT store, 1.5x @SGD$6000!

for an entry level model from an established marque,
$2000 above local OEM, and $6++ above what Chinese Marque offers with 2yrs old model...

akan datang...
...a 100incher QLED to take on what Sammy and TCL can offer, but without GoogleOS.
price wise, i assume would hover around $6K point reference to what i saw offered in Thai market...
...where some other Thai retailers have better offers, pushing the price lower than Samsung to draw more attentions.
