Why do we invite others to listen to our setup?

Hi Sphinx, were you staying near Chai Chee area more than 20yrs ago, I recall you were using AR VT100 and Sphinx amplification?😊

Hihi, I was one of the active Echoloft forumer during those days, me and Jason(founder of Echoloft) were actively arranging Powwow sessions since we stay so near hahaha.. I think he’s no longer into this hobby…man I miss those days😍

Due to work commitments, haven been lying low for many years and recently chanced upon this forum and though of saying Hi to long lost friends(if they are still here)😊

Hi all,

I am a newbie to this hobby and started about 2 years ago and staying in 5 room hdb at Bukit Panjang. I am interested to listen to systems in other people home and to know more fellow audiophiles since I’m the only one in this hobby within my circle of friends.

If you are keen to listen to my system or willing to let me come listen to your system. Do let me know. I think I still have much to learn.

Thanks Zein for inviting me over to his place, very nice setup for long listening, being in the hobby for just 2 years, can see his dedication towards Hifi and hope we have more new blood who share the same enthusiasm.

Also thanks bro Zein for bringing his USB cables(Cross Point & Way) to my place and try it out, haven’t done that for the longest time and hope there’s more of such gatherings to come.

The fun part was actually discovering more music, everyone have different music taste and I was busy using Shazam to track the titles hahaha.

Let’s keep our kampong spirit high, looking forward to more of such gatherings, I’m more than happy to host anyone who’s keen to visit me, not just for hifi only, to chat about anything too😊

Thanks Jon for coming over to my house at short notice and also inviting me to experience his manpad. Got to hear alot of songs that I have never heard before while he was at my place and had a great chat on the local audiophile scene in Singapore. It was also a first time for me to experience a ht setup and watching 13 hrs was a thrilling and exciting experience.

If u guys wanna come to Pasir Ris, then my home is always open for a any kind of invite..
Done so many in the past.. but sadly everything went silent on the home visits as the hifi forums in Singapore took a dip in viewership and participation....

Kinda split into various WA/FB SIG. Even those are very quiet nowadays. Maybe other hobbies take precedence liao.

Hi Cash, yes it has been silent for quite awhile, I think it’s time to turn on the engine again?

Thanks ML for coming to my house and sharing his valuable experience with me. I am going overseas next week, and can only continue to conduct house visits from November onwards.
