I need to get some XLR cables for my subwoofer crossover experiment.

Which one is better for XLR cables?

1. https://www.lhse.com/

2. https://www.facebook.com/InfiniteCablesCompany

Or, any other alternatives?

Also need recommendation for cable brand/model (AWG22 or AWG20) that is good value...
(I guess the usual suspects... Belden, Canare, are there).

Thank you very much..

What about those ready made cables from Adam Hall, Road Hog, Klotz ?

They look a little flimsy... my guess are that they are AWG24...

Regarding XLR connectors, any comments about Amphenol XLR (silver) vs. Neutrik XLR (silver) ?
Any Pro/Cons to share? TQVM.

ChatGPT say they are similar.

compare amphenol xlr silver vs. neutrik xlr silver

Both Amphenol and Neutrik are well-known manufacturers of professional audio connectors, and both offer silver-plated XLR connectors. Here are some points of comparison between the two:
  1. Quality: Both Amphenol and Neutrik are known for producing high-quality connectors that are durable and reliable.
  2. Design: The design of the connectors is slightly different, with the Amphenol connectors having a more rounded shape and the Neutrik connectors having a more angular shape.
  3. Contact material: Both connectors use silver plating on the contacts, which helps to ensure good conductivity and reduce the risk of oxidation.
  4. Pricing: The pricing for the connectors is similar, with the Neutrik connectors generally being slightly more expensive.
  5. User preference: Ultimately, the choice between Amphenol and Neutrik connectors comes down to personal preference. Some people prefer the design of one over the other, while others may have had better experiences with one brand or the other in the past.
In summary, both Amphenol and Neutrik offer high-quality silver-plated XLR connectors that are reliable and durable. The choice between the two ultimately comes down to personal preference and specific use cases.

What about those from Aliexpress? Some have thick cores inside

Yup, I already have a couple that I am using now (eg. UGreen). I also have gold plated ones from AliExpress. I realize those are shielded 2 core, and works very well. I cannot hear any difference between the UGreen XLR cables vs. Thomann XLR cables.

At the moment, I am thinking of getting some starquad ones. I know for short/medium length it's an overkill, and I probably cannot hear any difference, but just wanna have them for fun.

Shortlisted to Canare L-4E6S cable, and now figuring out the connector brand... am leaning toward the Amphenol silver connector...

Amazon have WBC branded pre-made XLR cables (Canare-Amphenol, or Canare-Neutrik) at quite a competitive in price.

The price from US seems to be a lot more reasonable. I see that Amazon Japan sell Mogami 2459 terminated by Chikuma at a much higher markup.

I'm interested to try a pro cable also. Oyaide has a range of interconnects that is aimed at pro audio as part of their Neo line.

Interesting video...

Personally, I "think" I hear the Canare being "different". I am not really sure how to describe the difference, ... it's a bit like the mids is just a tiny bit recessed. The Mogami and Belden sounds about the same, and closer to the original.

What is your perception after watching the video?
